Permalink Reply by Carole Lawrence on February 15, 2012 at 5:02am You're right, our present POTUS has openly stated his disdain for our U.S. Constitution & has promised to "fundamentally transform" our Constitutional Republic into a progressive, godless socialist paradise. Citizens of the U.S. will only have the rights deemed suitable for them by government.
In the words of Thomas Jefferson 1781, Query XVIII of his Notes on that State of Virginia:
"God who gave us life gave us liberty. And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are a gift from God?"
While we're still free to do so, God Bless America.

Permalink Reply by Mangus Colorado on February 15, 2012 at 1:45pm Obama is willing to violate his oath of office for POWER - the Constitution is not hindrance for a usurper. FDR and Wilson laid the ground work to make the Constitution power less to stop a tyrannical super Federal government - this will set them back -
They want depopulation period. Our Dear Leaders assistant John P. Holdren in 1977 co wrote a book titled Ecoscience and it was on population control, aso how to starve the poor and food rationing. I believe that is where we are headed with the things they are doing to the farmers. Then the healthcare bill and yes you may not agree but the vaccines, the shot the girls get for cancer I believe is to sterilize them and now the boys are suppose to start getting them. We have evil lurking in the White house pure devil. Rothchilds even admited it. Ugly, they think they are elite and we are no more than and ant on the sidewalk.
I'm so glad "your hot button" has been pushed for you've stated you concerns very well.
How about all denominations gathering outside the catholic churces and signing the petitions as well. It effects all of us.
Let everyone in your state know about this and let's get those petitions signed.
Another camel's nose under the tent. This one must be stopped. "They" are messing with our God given rights again.
It's supposed to be freedom of religion, not freedom from religion.
IMHO, this is a direct attack on the 1st Amendment as well as the Catholic Church. Infringe a little here...infringe a little there...until there's nothing left.
"First they came for the Catholics" ~ Glenn Beck
"we are all Catholics now" ~ Mike Huckabee
Neither of these men are Catholics, and neither am I. But I will stand with them and do whatever I can to stop this attack. I will be signing the petition on Sunday morning.
I for one am so sick of signing useless petition upon petition that end up somewhere in an empty vacumn space of petitionland with no positive result. They are laughing at us and and laughing hard. We are like toothless pit bulls, posturing and talking amongst ourselves but do not know our strength or know how to use it to result our wishes. We continue to try and gum them and take the nice/gengleman road by signing petitions andhoping they will follow the constitution that they are holding hostage an at gun point while pulling the trigger. So really who out there still thinks that petitions are useful tools for the crooked bunch that has - STOLEN our White House, our Country, our Futures?
Ok I vented and of course I will sign the petition just in case it has some slight affect and will make some difference (to be fair I do recognize that at least someone is trying to do something about issues - where I am just complaining) but really people we need to grow up, roll up our sleeves and start delivering some black eyes with no apologies.
Jo, I understand your feelings about petitions. I'm there. But I consider this one to be different. Although I am not Catholic, on Sunday I will be outside a Catholic Church after mass, waiting to sign my name to that petition.
Nancy, Yes of course we should anyway, but I am so frustrated with the everyday issues that are coming up with so many still going through as if they are in lala land and the crooks continue robbing our childrens futures and we seem to send them petitions. Yes I do attend meetings, write letters, call legislators, speak up and try to forward the message to the hopeless dopes that still support the imposter in the WH but it is just not enough and time is quickly running out. I am Catholic though in past few years I have learned far more from other chuch groups than I have ever heard from our church but yes this issue hits everyone even non-church goers. This is at the core of what made America's struggle worth fighting for. I just hope the Catholic Church finally gets it and doesn't go back to putting their heads in the sand.
It is my understanding that the Catholic Church is "getting it" bigtime. This petition is only the start.
I'm with you Jo. The only thing that gets their attention is T.E.A. Party activism in the streets and money. It's time we either took over the Republican party lock, stock and barrel or else started a party of our own that truly reflects our values. If we all don't start putting our money where our mouths are, then we're all down the tubes. Remember, our forefathers pledged their "Lives, fortunes, and sacred honor". Can we do any less and succeed? I think not!

American Patriot, the only thing that I disagree with in your post, is that you were afraid to voice how you feel on Oath Keepers, as you did not want to offend someone that doesn't feel as you do. That is part of the problem, and a mindset that we need to get away from. We can agree to disagree, yet still support the rights of others. It has been our fear of offending someone that has gotten us in the mess that we are now in! That fear kept us silent for far too long. I can only hope that the Oath Keepers community would support you and your stance, even if they didn't share your faith.
I have family that lives in LA. They told me that due to Obama's mandate on the Catholic church, that Obama has lost a lot of support from the Hispanic community there. Obama is worse than what any of us could have ever imagined! I also have family that is Filipino and devout Catholics. They are livid about the Obama mandate! I hope that through his arrogance, Obama has defeated himself!
Anyone but Obama in 2012!
American Patriot posted the above, exactly as written on Oath Keepers. I copied from there (including the smilie) to re-post. I think he was concerned that this would be seen as a Catholic issue, when it is fundamentally a Constitutional issue. It is a direct attack on conscience and the 1st Amendment.
