Hello everyone, Suzie wanted me to pass along that all went well today with the procedure to shock Will's heart. She thanks all for their prayers.

Suzie also wanted me to pass along that she will pick a winner of the caption contest Wednesday night. I take it that the contest is not over so posting one tomorrow seems fair.

How Great the Need !

Let us Pray;

"Almighty God, you are our Mighty Fortress, our refuge and the God in whom we place our trust.  As our nation faces great distress and uncertainty, we ask your Holy Spirit to fall afresh upon your people — convict us of sin and inflame within us a passion to pray for our land and its people.

Grant the leaders of our country an awareness of their desperate need of wisdom and salvation in You until sin becomes a reproach to all and righteousness exalts this nation.

Protect and defend us against our enemies and may the cause of Christ always prevail in our schools, courts, homes, and churches.  Lord God, send a spirit of revival and may it begin in our own hearts.

Remember America, we pray.  Remember the foundations on which this country was built.  Remember the prayers of our nation’s fathers and mothers, and do not forget us in our time of need.

In the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, Amen."

God’s Love is Eternal

Human love is convenient. It suits the needs of the person at the time and works into his schedule. God’s love is eternal. You are always on His itinerary. Human love is emotional. Hormones, sleeplessness, worry, past hurts, Mexican food—all complicate these emotions.
God’s love is committed. While God has feelings for us, his feelings do not dictate his love. His love is based on a decision to love us. Your actions don’t increase or decrease his commitment. In fact, if you never love God, he will still love you.
One thing human love has going for it– you can see it. God’s love is just as real but not quite as tangible. We will see it, in time and for eternity, as we gaze into the face of God and his Son, Jesus Christ, while we stand in the presence of God in heaven! And, oh, what a day that will be!

Folks, I wanted once again to thank you all for the positive thoughts sent our way. My Chris will under go an Ablation Procedure in early January. This seems a good choice. Until then her chores require that she remain healthy, curb activity that would cause an event. BTW her potassium level is low normal and all the professionals feel she can control levels by what she eats. Her blood pressure is high periodically so she keeps a diary if the events.

Ablation from research seems highly effective with a good success record.

Peter Edward Kassig

Kassig a former US Army Ranger, was honourably dischargedis, is the latest of five US and UK hostages to have been murdered in cold blood in Syria.

The British prime minister, David Cameron, said: “These beheadings show once again what a depraved organisation this is,” and described Kassig as a “selfless humanitarian worker”.

"And they mourned, and wept, and fasted until even, for Saul, and for Jonathan his son, and for the people of the Lord, and for the house of Israel; because they were fallen by the sword."  (KJV)

What else may we do beside following King David of the Bible to Mourn the loss of U.S. Army Ranger Veteran; Peter Kassig. David and all the “people of the Lord” mourned, and wept, and fasted because they had “fallen by the sword.”

Let us fast and weep and mourn for our fallen Army Ranger Veteran, Peter.

Independence Day

In contrast to the 44th president of these United States of America many if not most of the previous PotUS' had conventional Christian beliefs. Admittedly not necessarily the same as twenty first century evangelicals of these times.

Records indicate that we have had:

4 Baptist, 1 Catholic, 2 Congregationalists, 3 Disciples of Christ (including LBJ & Reagan), 2 Dutch Reformed, 12 Episcopalian (including FDR,Ford,Geo. H.W. & "dubya")  4 Methodist, 7 Presbyterian, 2 Quakers, 4 Unitarian, and 6 nondenominational (including Pres. Obama)

Thomas Jefferson wrote to William Short on October 31, 1819, he was convinced that the fragmentary teachings of Jesus constituted the "outlines of a system of the most sublime morality which has ever fallen from the lips of man."

A Prayer in Dark Times

Oh! How we need a national leader, a person of bold, humble Faith in God and Jesus to inspire us as a nation and people to respect one another as our selves. A leader with similar qualities of states-men-ship and faith of Washington, Lincoln, and others for the future.

Lincoln is quoted saying; "I have been driven many times upon my knees by the overwhelming conviction that I had nowhere else to go."

I pray that the Lord raise up the faithful, honorable person for the presidential position that will pray as the predecessors have prayed.

Dear Friends,

We have a couple of members who are in need of some prayers at this time.

Member Hugh Akston has been ill for a while, he has seen several Dr.s and is fighting an infection as well as dealing with on the job stress due to the FCC.  

Member Patricia Gillenwater is in a difficult situation, waiting for her dear sister to pass away and not being able to travel to see her before she leaves us. Patricia also deals with the stress of a serious illness...

Times like this we need our Prayer Warriors!

Please say some prayers for member Linda's Mother In Law. She is hospitalized far away from family and has a serious pulmonary condition. The local hospital had to move her to a hospital better equipped to deal with the nature of her problems.  Please Pray...
