Hello everyone, Suzie wanted me to pass along that all went well today with the procedure to shock Will's heart. She thanks all for their prayers.

Suzie also wanted me to pass along that she will pick a winner of the caption contest Wednesday night. I take it that the contest is not over so posting one tomorrow seems fair.

Peter Edward Kassig

Kassig a former US Army Ranger, was honourably dischargedis, is the latest of five US and UK hostages to have been murdered in cold blood in Syria.

The British prime minister, David Cameron, said: “These beheadings show once again what a depraved organisation this is,” and described Kassig as a “selfless humanitarian worker”.

"And they mourned, and wept, and fasted until even, for Saul, and for Jonathan his son, and for the people of the Lord, and for the house of Israel; because they were fallen by the sword."  (KJV)

What else may we do beside following King David of the Bible to Mourn the loss of U.S. Army Ranger Veteran; Peter Kassig. David and all the “people of the Lord” mourned, and wept, and fasted because they had “fallen by the sword.”

Let us fast and weep and mourn for our fallen Army Ranger Veteran, Peter.

Independence Day

In contrast to the 44th president of these United States of America many if not most of the previous PotUS' had conventional Christian beliefs. Admittedly not necessarily the same as twenty first century evangelicals of these times.

Records indicate that we have had:

4 Baptist, 1 Catholic, 2 Congregationalists, 3 Disciples of Christ (including LBJ & Reagan), 2 Dutch Reformed, 12 Episcopalian (including FDR,Ford,Geo. H.W. & "dubya")  4 Methodist, 7 Presbyterian, 2 Quakers, 4 Unitarian, and 6 nondenominational (including Pres. Obama)

Thomas Jefferson wrote to William Short on October 31, 1819, he was convinced that the fragmentary teachings of Jesus constituted the "outlines of a system of the most sublime morality which has ever fallen from the lips of man."

A Prayer in Dark Times

Oh! How we need a national leader, a person of bold, humble Faith in God and Jesus to inspire us as a nation and people to respect one another as our selves. A leader with similar qualities of states-men-ship and faith of Washington, Lincoln, and others for the future.

Lincoln is quoted saying; "I have been driven many times upon my knees by the overwhelming conviction that I had nowhere else to go."

I pray that the Lord raise up the faithful, honorable person for the presidential position that will pray as the predecessors have prayed.

Please pray today for the mourning families of the 3 young Israeli teens that were murdered.  And pray that Israel is right and justified in their bombing of Hamas, as they have shown no proof so far to the world of who killed the boys.

I received a message today from ACLJ that one of the teens was an American citizen.  The message is below.  Please follow the link and sign their petition.


Hamas terrorists kidnapped and murdered three Israeli teenagers, one of them a U.S. citizen.

Yet with an American teen murdered by Palestinian terrorists, President Obama is not only still funding the terror-led Palestinian government which is now tied to Hamas, he is demanding "restraint" from our ally Israel.

Israel faces the threat of near daily terrorist attacks from Hamas and other jihadists - groups dedicated to the destruction of Israel.  Now, the Obama Administration is disastrously attempting to tie Israel's hands.

At the same time, this Administration has reportedly been in secret talks with Hamas - negotiating with terrorists.

We're fighting back, working in our office in Jerusalem and with Members of Congress to defend our ally Israel and defeat terrorists.

Take a stand with us. Send a powerful message to President Obama: Stop supporting terrorists.

Dear Friends,

We have a couple of members who are in need of some prayers at this time.

Member Hugh Akston has been ill for a while, he has seen several Dr.s and is fighting an infection as well as dealing with on the job stress due to the FCC.  

Member Patricia Gillenwater is in a difficult situation, waiting for her dear sister to pass away and not being able to travel to see her before she leaves us. Patricia also deals with the stress of a serious illness...

Times like this we need our Prayer Warriors!

Please say some prayers for member Linda's Mother In Law. She is hospitalized far away from family and has a serious pulmonary condition. The local hospital had to move her to a hospital better equipped to deal with the nature of her problems.  Please Pray...

Peruvian praying(Peru)—The poor country of Peru has been experiencing an economic revival that has tripled their economy in the last decade. (Photo: Charisma News)

However, the economic front is not the only place where revival and growth is being experienced.

According to a Charisma News report, there is also a rapidly-increasing spiritual revival encompassing the South American country.

Peru has seen the number of Born-again Christians rise "dramatically," says the Charisma News report. The Evangelical population reportedly grew from "single digits to 12.5 percent in 2007."

Johnny Enlow is a minister who was raised on the mission field in Peru, says the Charisma News report, and he prophesied a decade ago that economic revival was on the way. He also reportedly prophesied that "a major gold mine would be discovered"—twice—and it happened—twice.

According to Enlow, the increase in the country's material and economic blessings is causing the people to seek the Source of those blessings.

Says Enlow, "He is a God who wants you to spend eternity with Him, but He's a God who cares about practical life. It becomes easier for people to see God in that context."

Found at "Now The End Begins" - 

From God’s perspective, there are two types of people in this world: saved and lost. The lost have 0 chance of getting into heaven.  If you take God's Gift,  His preserved word says you will spend eternity with Him in a Heaven that is so amazing mere human words can never do it justice. Here is the gift: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Oh, I know…you’ve heard it a thousand times. But it is the only thing that will save your eternal soul. There is no “Plan B”. Its Jesus, His shed blood and death on the cross and His rising again on the third day.  Here’s proof: “Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.” Hebrews 7:25

Trust Him, and spend eternity thanking Jesus. He pay's big dividends for all eternity. Do it now, you are not promised tomorrow, you are not even promised as long it takes you to read this. Then your eternity is set firm. The bible says you are saved and SEALED until the day of redemption.   “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.” Ephesians 1:13,14

Eternally secure!  No a worry in the world…well.... Did you know there will be a review of your works for the Lord Jesus at the Judgment Seat of Christ? Every man’s work shall be made manifestfor the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.” 1 Corinthians 3:13-15

No matter the problems right now, you are assured one day the things and cares of this life will all be gone. In an instant you will be standing before the One who redeemed you, Jesus Christ. "I Thess.4:16- Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and shall we ever be with the Lord."

There is still time to do good works for Jesus, we do a good work by praying for others and posting His word for others to see. Helping the needy, fixing dinner for the sick, shopping for the elderly or just being kind to one another. There are many ways and even the smallest is important to our Lord. 

Only ONE life, twill SOON be past…and ONLY what’s done for CHRIST will last.
