- “. . for such a time as this?"

I am unsure how much back ground I need to include before we get to this portion of Queen Esther’s life. In the story of Ester five lives are on a collision course, Xerxes, The King of Susa, & over all of Persia and Media, His queen, Vashti known for her beauty throughout all the lands. Haman called Agagite whose father was over a portion of the land of Susa and came to Kings Xerxes city to serve the King.   Mordicai is a Jew living in the Kingdom whose family had been taken captive during a conquest of Jerusalem & Esther, a cousin and her family had been killed or died in captivity, Mordicai being older took her in, Esther is also known for her youthful beauty.

The Myth of Religious Freedom

Because we will be looking at the Caucasian migration to North America, I will begin with the turn of 17th century.

Like me, you may have heard a great learned individual on the mainstream media i.e. T.V. or Radio and expound on a 4th of July “News” story say something like; “Well we all know that the Pilgrims’ were a group of mixed nationalities, mostly ignorant farmers or herders.” “Hoping to get away from economic hard times in Europe and England!”  Understand this quote is from memory and intended as an example. But I ask have you also heard something like this on the major media?

Satan also came

Job 1: 6 One day the angels came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came with them. 7 The LORD said to Satan, "Where have you come from?" Satan answered the LORD, "From roaming through the earth and going back and forth in it."

Verse 7 starts the account of the discourse between God and the fallen angle called here “Satan.”

A glairing question jumps out of the pages of the Bible here to me!  God as we/I know Him is Omniscient, Meaning; “Gods knowledge is perfect,” – “His knowledge of past, present and future is instantaneous.”¹  Sooo, an unbeliever may question this account in the Bible, as nonsensical, but no. God knows full well what and where satan (not capitalized because satan doesn’t deserve recognition as a capital noun) is and what he has been up to, so like a defendant in court the judge/God gives him the opportunity to defend himself. Faced with the opportunity to tell the truth satan chose to lie. Just as we looked at Job’s character lets be fare and look at satan aka the devil’s “Character.” Let’s take just a moment to clarify the multiple names used to describe this same individual Rev. 12: Vrs.3 refers to a “Red Dragon” We won’t go into the meaning or symbolism of the names, just what he is called. Vrs. 9 “John the Revelator” tells us how these names describes the same individual

How moving to realize Jesus has "prepared" a place for ALL

In one of our recent devotions was this verse:

"And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am , there ye may be also."              John 14:3 KJV

How moving to realize Jesus has "prepared" a place for ALL who walk and live in the Grace of God not in sacrifice but in love forsaking the lusts of this present world with eyes focused on a promise of eternity in Heaven. Willing to suffer the disparagement of non-believers with Faith in Christ promise that He "will come again"!
