A Tale of Two Evolutions

Posted on June 30, 2011 at 5:30pm 1 Comment

As the 2012 political season fast approaches, the Left is going to try and paint Conservative candidates as crazy extremists with questions regarding Evolution. There is an obvious double-standard at play, but we should be used to it by now. More importantly, the Bible tells us to have answer to those who ask us questions regarding our faith (Peter 3:15), this applies even to "gotcha" questions.

So how should politically active, Conservative candidates respond to questions about…

The Evolution (and Devolution) of Economies

Posted on May 20, 2011 at 7:52am 1 Comment

This article is not going to be about current events, it’s more of a basic economics lesson that relates to a lot of events in the news, namely lost jobs, outsourcing, etc. I hope that after reading this article, you’ll have a better understanding about how economies evolve (or devolve), and understand the problems (and solutions) more clearly.

All economies are the same; it’s simply a matter of scale. A nation’s economy is fundamentally no different than a household economy, except…

Entitlements: Answering the Critics Part 2

Posted on May 12, 2011 at 6:13am 6 Comments

In my last article, I tackled several arguments that are commonly used to defend entitlements, or at least change the subject away from entitlement reform. I showed that defense spending, illegal aliens, and "the rich" are red-herring distractions that would make no difference in our looming debt crisis. There is still one last nugget that I commonly hear that needs to be addressed, and on its face it makes sense, which is why it's so attractive, but like other arguments it simply…

Entitlements: Answering the Critics Part 1

Posted on May 10, 2011 at 6:30am 4 Comments

I'm on a roll with my "Entitlement Reform" series. I've upset a lot of moles within the Tea Party, but I want to take this opportunity to refute some arguments that these seniors give. You see, they don't want entitlement reform at all, so they try to say that the problem is military spending, illegal aliens, tax cuts for the rich, etc. Basically, their goal is the shift the subject away from entitlement reform entirely. Now, before I address these arguments one at a time, I… Continue

Reagan on Social Security

Posted on May 8, 2011 at 1:00pm 2 Comments

I've spent the last few days debating on this site regarding entitlement reform. I've been attacked, and told that I hate seniors, and want them to die. I've been told that seniors are the real victims, and that today's seniors (in 2011) simply did not have the time to save for their own retirement, and cannot be expected to support themselves.

To everyone who thinks that I am attacking seniors out of some sense of self interest for my own income, I give you someone you might…

“I hold before you my hand with each finger standing erect and alone, and as long as they are held thus, not one of the tasks that the hand may preform can be accomplished. I cannot lift. I cannot grasp. I cannot hold. I cannot even make an intelligible sign until my fingers organize and work together. In this we should also learn a lesson.”

I think we all agree that to really change the direction of our country, limit spending and limit government, we need to unite the majority vote. We have set up an organization to do that very thing. All patriots should join with us to achieve that end. We do not suggest that you quit other groups or stop other actions ...just that you enlist your vote with ours.
We have a new group site but it is private for the time being. To join you must be invited. You may request an invitation as follows: go to the site www.americanvote.info You will enter on the homepage. Look to the top and select the "contact us" tab and send an email to Paul Lewis following the directions in the comment box. In the subject line please put "INVITE" so that your mail is not deleted as spam. Your invitation must be sent to you from the new site and will come to you as quickly as we can respond. The site you are going to tells who we are and outlines what we are doing. If you have the time you might wish to read it over. Once you are a member of the new site you may invite your friends from the site. Help us take our country back!

Morgue I was talking about the real Obama not the one of his own imagination. I never saw the movie but I read the Peloponnesian Wars. Obama is probably more like the historic Xerxes than the Hollywierd version. Gay, effeminate and cowardly. Or as some would say a real girly-boy toy.

"Love" doesn't mean enabling destructive behavior. Giving an addict money out of a sense of "being kind" isn't love at all. Sometimes it takes love to say "no" to someone, so that they hit rock-bottom and get their life in order.

And you are right that is the surface of what I said. Apply this to politics and you will see that the point is to show that the Liberal interpretation is wrong. These rules only apply or will work with Moral men. Not immoral men. When Christ gave the Sermon on the Mount, HE was talking to believers with Moral standards.

Again we apply the principle to politics and it shows that we must try to elect Moral men for our leaders.

I said…
Many think that this is in the bible. It is not directly stated like this and taken out of context it has a lot of potential for harm.

Many liberals point to the Sermon on the Mount as Christ endorsing this idea. But if you look closely at his words you will see that HE was talking to believers with Moral standards.

Thanks for your comments

Thanks for you comment on my blog about political correctness. I use my public library for internet and rarely have the time to access videos. Am grateful that I opened a discussion as I always learn from those that comment.
Peace.

Morgue - Did you leave a comment regarding my 'America's Future?' blogpost? If you did, I can't find it... I looked here and on my "official" blog site.
Thanks.

Ok Morgue, now I see your point. I was confused about your point of contention. In this you are absolutely correct. (I will avoid using RIGHT, to prevent any more confusion)
God Bless You.
